During my time at Cube Creative Ltd, I had the opportunity to undertake a significant branding project for The Rowan Suite, a hospital ward situated within the renowned Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. The specialised unit offers expert clinical services in an environment that emphasizes both comfort and cutting-edge facilities. The task at hand was to develop a brand identity that struck a balance between formality and tradition while incorporating a modern twist.
To meet the client’s requirements, I embarked on a creative journey to devise a brand that reflected the desired attributes. Taking inspiration from the publishers’ marks of the 1900s, I crafted a brand identity that exuded elegance, timelessness, and a touch of contemporary sophistication. By drawing from the ornate details and refined aesthetics of that era, I created a visual language that resonated with the formal and traditional elements sought by the client, while infusing it with a subtle modern twist.
I proceeded to develop the logo in various formats, ensuring its adaptability across different mediums and applications. Recognising the global reach of Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, I also went the extra mile to design the logo in multiple languages, accommodating their diverse range of international patients.
In addition to the logo, I had the privilege of designing The Rowan Suite’s website and brochure, which played a crucial role in conveying the unit’s specialised services and commitment to exceptional patient care. Leveraging the established brand identity, I seamlessly translated its visual elements into the digital and print mediums. The website design emphasized user-friendly navigation, clear and concise information, and a cohesive visual experience, while the brochure showcased the suite’s features, facilities, and testimonials in an engaging and informative manner.
By crafting a formal yet modern brand identity, developing the logo in various formats and languages, and designing the website and brochure, I successfully supported The Rowan Suite’s objective of communicating their specialised clinical expertise within a smart and comfortable environment. This project not only allowed me to demonstrate my skills in brand development, logo design, and digital/print design but also fostered a deeper understanding of the healthcare industry and its visual communication requirements.
